Prescribing Prevention contains family stories, patient checklists, and a 'tools' section including a myths survey form. It is a bilingual print and web resource that is meant to demystify and illustrate the relationship between health promotion and prevention of stroke.
Prescribing Prevention has been written for health providers caring for individuals with stroke, or at high risk for stroke, to enlarge their understanding of health promotion and how it can be effectively applied in their clinical settings. Through the case studies, strategies ranging from the secondary prevention of stroke to broader health promotion activities are introduced.
